Meet our Team
Julie is a bona fide news junkie who thinks federal elections are the Stanley Cup of politics. If she hadn’t fallen for the wonderful world of media monitoring, she would have been an investigative reporter – anything to stay close to the news.
When she isn’t ridding the world of typos or cheering zealously for her Blue Jays, Julie enjoys testing new recipes on her son, daughter, and long suffering husband. She makes a wicked habanero salsa, all from her garden (when the rabbits allow).
John worked in advertising and PR before founding J&A in 1989. Although he dropped out of Harvard before he ever arrived there, John still managed to study journalism and A/V before getting into the business.
A shade tree economist, John loves Paul Krugman columns, Patricia Highsmith novels, and taking pictures with film. He also writes a regular column for a small Eastern Ontario newspaper. You might catch him eating barely barbecued steaks or blasting Frank Zappa while cruising in his Datsun Roadster.
Christina is our Client Relations Supervisor and the force of creative energy that drives our awesome staff. She joined J&A as an information specialist and media monitor in 2010.
With experience in the private sector and provincial government, she brings us a keen understanding of our clients’ diverse needs. When not making great things happen at J&A, she enjoys photography, hiking, traveling, and a wide swath of creative and artistic pursuits.
Stephen is a devoted Blue Jays fan, political buff, audio/visual editing guru, and machinima extraordinaire. That’s a lot of things to be, and all of them give Stephen a unique perspective on the news that translates into awesome service for J&A clients.
He even volunteers for a local LARP organization, where he wields the creative pen and spins straw into gold – or helps tell a great story, at least. Stephen earned an Honours degree in English literature from McMaster University. He lives with his wife Julia and their young son, Tristen.
Ken takes charge of our evening shift. He loves being on top of the nation’s news because of the strategic edge it gives him when debating the issues with friends outside of work.
With degrees in philosophy and the humanities, he’s a strategic thinker and in-depth researcher with skill set that fits J&A like a glove. Two young sons keep him active by cycling on trails, learning archery, and climbing the stairs of the CN Tower (and that’s just last month).
Sean is an all-out master of video and audio mixing, skills he employs daily as a supervisor at J&A. He graduated from the University of Waterloo with a degree in Film Studies before completing a graduate program in film and television at Sheridan College.
When he isn’t playing bass in a big, noisy rock band, Sean enjoys reading, traveling, and playing classical piano.
